Frequently asked questions.
Things people ask before they play. And some things people ask after.
Is Kronions really free?
Yes. Free. No ads, no accounts, no microtransactions. The game is a hobby project. Play as much as you want.
How many players can play?
From 2 to 6. The hand size per round caps out based on player count so the deck never runs dry mid-round.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open the link, type a name, and deal. Works on phones, tablets, and laptops.
How long does a game take?
A full 4-player game lands between 25 and 40 minutes. Bigger tables run a little longer.
What are paradox cards?
Six cards in the deck that don't belong to any suit. When you play one, you declare it as Future (wins anything) or Past (loses to everything). That's the whole mechanic — and it's devastating.
Is it like Spades or Hearts?
Closest to Oh Hell, Wizard, or Up and Down the River. Same family — bid how many tricks you'll win, try to hit it exactly. Paradox cards are the new thing.
Can I play with friends in different places?
Yes. One person creates a game, shares the join code, everyone enters it in their browser. It's real-time multiplayer.
What happens if I lose connection mid-game?
Your seat stays. Rejoin from the same browser and you'll drop back in where you left off.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. The browser version works well on mobile though — add it to your home screen for a shortcut.
Can I play alone against bots?
Not right now. Kronions is currently multiplayer-only. Bots are on the maybe list.
Ready to bend a little time?
Free, instant, plays in your browser. Grab 1–5 friends and find out who guesses best.
